Model 272A Portable Surface Resistivity Meter

For manufacturers and users of products such as electrostatic shielding bags and static dissipative work surfaces, the Model 272A offers rapid, accurate, dependable
measurements of resistivity and resistance to ground.
Simply place the resistive material under the instrument’s electrode assembly. One
glance at the large digital display will tell you whether the test material meets your specifications.
Provides fast repeatable measurements of both surface resistivity and resistance to ground in one versatile
instrument. Also makes measurement of volume resistivity of sheet materials. Measures resistivity from 8 x 10E4 to 2
x 10E14 ohms per square and resistance from 8 x 103 to 2 x 10E13ohms. Measuring voltage of 10 volts and 100 volts
are selectable. Accuracy is ±0.1 decade, typical. Programmable default settings include selection of scientific
notation or 3-place log display of values. Five-pound guarded ring electrode has compliant silver-impregnated
elastomer contact material and spring-loaded center electrode for excellent contact. Includes carrying case, charger
and specimen support plate with insulative surface. Note: Also measures volume resistivity of thin planar materials.
